THE PROCESS

Rebecca Johnson, M.S.

Rebecca Johnson offers simple, practical coaching to discover and create a thriving life and relationships.

She has studied traditional therapeutic modalities while earning her M.S. in Marriage & Family Relations from Utah State (2006). During this time she encountered EFT (emotional freedom technique) as an entry-point to train clients to learn to listen to their own body and guide their own healing process.

For over a decade she has dedicated her career to coaching clients through the exploration and resolution of the effects of emotional and physical trauma.

She has studied mindfulness and meditation extensively and integrates these practices and others into a unique methodology that guides clients and students on the path to self-awareness and emotional self-sufficiency.

She explores individuals unique stories and experiences to uncover what's not working.  She teaches groups and individuals strategies, skills and tools to transform limiting beliefs and emotional blocks into empowering personal insights. Her end goal is to help each client create a compassionate, curious, non-judgemental relationship with them-self, and an emotional blueprint for building a life that fits their authentic self.

TESTIMONIALS

“Rebecca has completely transformed the way I interact in relationships.  I feel free to be honest with people.  I'm free to say "no" and I understand that I have a choice...in everything.  That is revolutionary for someone who has always felt pressed down by obligation and judgement and worthiness.  I stand taller, and feel free.  My relationships now, in my mid 30's, are full of giving AND receiving. The most valuable thing I have gained from working with Rebecca, is a way of honestly feeling and responding to my emotions and giving this knowledge to my children.  I have patience because I don't feel I'm struggling to keep myself together.  I recognize what they are trying to communicate to me and am able to help support them.  I don't try to solve their problems but we honor the progression.”

Doniel - Eagle, ID

“In the past I was very critical of myself and saw myself in a negative way. Rebecca has helped me to learn how to give myself a break. Especially teaching me to stop with negaitve thoughts about myself. I used to say things like "why can't I just do what is expected of me?" Why can't I make others happy. I must be selfish. She has taught me to understand my needs and say things like. I understand why I did something or acted a certain way. I can now validate how I feel and why instead of just placing myself in a negative fashion. It's an important change because after years of the old way of thinking I felt very beaten down by myself.“

“Since I have started meeting with Rebecca I have noticed real change and growth in my life. My heart and brain have started to rewire, old negative thought patterns are transforming into ones of possibility and healing. Rebecca has taught me to love myself, accept where I am in the moment, and approach hard situations with myself and others in compassion, rather than fear and anger.”

“I look at life in terms of before and after Rebecca.  I was suffering from trauma and I didn’t even know it - I just assumed I was feeling so miserable as it was my lot in life!  She has helped me connect me to myself and I will forever be grateful for being set on the path to peace.  I have visited so many talk therapists in the past that were entirely unhelpful having diagnosed me with everything under the sun.  It turns out I just needed some tools to better cope with my past trauma.  Rebecca is an extremely intuitive person which makes her great at her job.”

Sandy - Los Angeles, CA

In years of working with various therapists, I concluded that at best I might reach a feeling of detachment from the trauma I have experienced. Rebecca has given me new possibilities: i'm finding friendly space in my own body and mind, and finding that I can give myself much of the connection and kindness that I crave. Wounds I thought would never heal are closing.

Some of the best work has been in couples sessions, where my husband and I have learned to recognize and respond to trauma when it inserts itself into our conversations.”
